Matthew 21:31b-32. Stubborn Denial. 17 Sep 2023

Mat 21:31b Jesus said to them,
'In truth I tell you,
tax collectors and prostitutes
are making their way into the kingdom of God before you.
32 For John came to you,
showing the way of uprightness,
but you did not believe him,
and yet the tax collectors and prostitutes did.
Even after seeing that,
you refused to think better of it and believe in him.

Yes, it is hard to admit when I have been wrong. It is even harder when I am a member of a community having an incorrect judgment.

When I see the news on TV day by day, I am also wondering, 'Why am I doing nothing to help with those many needs?'
When I want to help, I need to pay a price. I must give up some of my comfort and or wealth.

Prayer

Jesus, teach me to pray and act on the needs of the world. And please guide me to trust meaningful opportunities to help.
