Matthew 21:1-3. Borrowing Two Donkeys 4 Sep 2023
Mat 21:1 When they were near Jerusalem
and had come to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives,
then Jesus sent two disciples,
2 saying to them,
'Go to the village facing you,
and you will at once find a tethered donkey
and a colt with her.
Untie them and bring them to me.
Mat 21:3 If anyone says anything to you,
you are to say,
"The Master needs them
and will send them back at once." '

While copying the above scripture, I noticed that there were a donkey AND a colt (young male) with her. Two animals. Jesus said: 'Bring THEM to me. Two animals. And indeed, in the next verses Jesus is going to ride on those two animals. I have never heard a preaching about this, neither seen this in a movie.
Two disciples were sent to get those animals. It sounds like stealing. Jesus added an instruction, "If anyone says anything to you ...". Jesus prepared the disciples to give a non-defensive and explaining response.
Prayer
Jesus, thanks for instructing the disciples well.
