One year of my life I have travelled with a Kalshnikov AK47 throughout the Netherlands. The weapon was part of an exhibition. Our team, as well instructed soldiers about the wall between Easter and Western Germany. A radical separation at that time in 1978.

Separation

Being radical separates me from things which I reject. Things which are painful to leave behind or to give up. I need to be radical to stop drinking or smoking.
I need to be radical to follow Jesus Christ. Do I have the courage to love my neighbour? I need to give up things or rights to keep time or things just for myself.

Prayer

Father God, make me radical in following your Son.
