The Glory Left 10 Sep 2020

1Sa 4:21 She named the child Ichabod, saying, 'The glory has gone from Israel,' alluding to the capture of the ark of God and to her father-in-law and husband.

A few days ago I wrote about the Ark of the Covenant which had been captured by the Philistines. Just after that incident, the wife of the priest Phinehas died with giving birth of a son. The son was named by her, 'The glory has gone'.

Do I observe when I have sinned against God? Do I observe when his Glory has left me? Do I observe when no one recognizes God in my life?
Perhaps I hardly do. God's light may shine when I really care for the needs of the people and the world around me.
I do invite God to teach and instruct me for his mission. I desire that the Glory of God may shine on my path. That God may be known.
