When I see the picture there is something blocking the way to the cross. When Jesus calls me: Follow Me, would I be ready? What would be my excuses?

Church

When I sit every day an hour in a church pew, would that mean that I am following Jesus? When I pray long and intently, does that mean that I am following Jesus?

Hindrances

For me there are certainly things that hinder me from following Jesus. To name a few:

1. My security (the trust in what I can do myself)
2. My attachments
3. My present duties

My excuses will not impress Jesus. Following requires obedience.
