Matthew 24:15-18. Let The Reader Understand 26 Oct 2023

Mat 24:15 'So when you see the appalling abomination,
of which the prophet Daniel spoke,
set up in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those in Judaea must escape to the mountains; 17 if anyone is on the housetop, he must not come down to collect his belongings from the house; 18 if anyone is in the fields, he must not turn back to fetch his cloak.

'(let the reader understand)'
Let's make it clear. I do NOT understand what 'the appalling abomination' was, is or will be.
It appears to be scheduled in Judaea. It should be set up in the holy place. That sounds like the temple in Jerusalem. ... Which location presently bears a mosque with a golden roof. But I could not see how that relates to the advice 'to escape to the mountains'.

Seeing my reasoning, I guess that it is wise that the reader just needs to guess. For speaking it out might not be safe.

Prayer

Jesus, help me to understand what is relevant for me.
