Mat 24:31 And he will send his angels
with a loud trumpet
to gather his elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other.

It appears to me that heaven is used here in the meaning of sky. Why would the angels use a trumpet? Would not everyone hear those blasts and not just the elect?
