Mat 24:9 'Then you will be handed over
to be tortured and put to death;
and you will be hated by all nations on account of my name.
10 And then many will fall away;
people will betray one another and hate one another.

Yesterday, the language was about nations and people. Today, things are more personal. Are the described events in my future or did a few things already happen? Perhaps those things are of all times.

Could it be that most of those wars and famines and betrayal happens in our churches? Why would the world hate the name of Jesus? Perhaps because I as believer make Christ an abomination. I end up using the words of Jesus to pour out judgment. I am not really doing the words of Jesus. I am not loving my neighbor.

Prayer

Jesus, teach me humility.
