Matthew 24:19-21. Prayer for Time of Disaster 27 Oct 2023

Mat 24:19 Alas for those with child,
or with babies at the breast,
when those days come!
20 Pray that you will not have to make your escape in winter
or on a Sabbath.
21 For then there will be great distress,
unparalleled since the world began,
and such as will never be again.

Why not on a Sabbath? Who except the Jewish people do care about the Sabbath? Actually, I believe that Christians as well should care about the Sabbath.
Many state or think that the events Jesus talked about have happened in the year 70, with the destruction of the temple. I am not sure.
The reason is that Jesus talks about events on a 'world' scale. I rather would expect that my own generation will face a time of great distress. The world needs to be born again. It is too hard for us people to manage this world. Only God can grant such a transition.

Prayer

Jesus, have mercy on us in the end times. Help us to stand in the time of great distress.
