Matthew 1-5. Rahab and Ruth. 6 Oct 2022

We meet two more women in the genealogy of Jesus, Rahab and Ruth. Two women of courage and of love for Israel. It is not completely sure whether Rahab is the prostitute living at the wall of Jericho in the time of Joshua.

Ruth was caught by the love for Naomi:
Wherever you go, I shall go,
wherever you live, I will live.
Your people will be my people,
and your God, will be my God.
Where you die, I shall die,
and there I shall be buried.

Prayer

God, I ask for some of the faith of Ruth.
