David is just one of the 42 named ancestors of Jesus. David is a turning point. Because from him on, Jesus' genealogy becomes a royal one. David is acknowledged as a prophet. He is believed to have composed many of the psalms. The prayers of David have become famous over all the world. Those prayers have opened the heavens, and paved a way for the coming of Jesus.

Prayer

God, teach me to pray as David, as a king.
