Complacent means feeling satisfied and secure while there is actually danger. It seems to me a state which the devil loves.

Prayer

Father God, please teach me to think sober about myself. I like to learn more in guarding myself against the plans of my enemies. Help me to consider the thinking of my neighbours, both positive and negative. Guide me in watching and praying.
