Matthew 25:23-24. Just One Talent 11 Nov 2023

Mat 25:24 Last came forward
the man who had the single talent.
"Sir," said he,
"I had heard you were a hard man,
reaping where you had not sown
and gathering where you had not scattered;
25 so I was afraid,
and I went off and hid your talent in the ground.
Here it is; it was yours,
you have it back."

The first 'talent' displayed is, blaming. Blaming the master and blaming his fear.

Actually, the one-talent-man does not know the master well: 'I'd heard you are a hard man.' He never began communicating with the master. It is the same with me: I forget to talk and listen to Jesus.

I observe:
Since the talent is an amount of money, the one-talent-man had been entrusted almost the same as the others.
Since the one-talent-man did not work, how did he eat and feed his family?

Prayer

Jesus, I hardly know how to pray. Please grant me the gift of prayer. How does my talent fit in your plan?
