Matthew 26:6-9. Ointment 21 Nov 2023
Mat 26:6 Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon,
a man who had suffered from a virulent skin-disease,
when 7 a woman came to him
with an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment,
and poured it on his head as he was at table.
8 When they saw this, the disciples said indignantly,
'Why this waste?
9 This could have been sold for a high price
and the money given the poor.'

Some stories are told in the four gospels slightly different, thus offering a variety of details.
Here, Simon (not Peter) is presented passive, perhaps just having been healed by Jesus.
An unnamed woman comes to anoint Jesus's head.
It is the disciples who begin to judge. More than one of them is indignant.
Prayer
Jesus, please heal me from my indignant over-responses.
