Mat 24:34 In truth I tell you,
before this generation has passed away,
all these things will have taken place.
35 Sky and earth will pass away,
but my words will never pass away.

It appears to me that the 'generation' is more than the lifespan of one person. There is a 'sky' and not 'heaven' in the text. Could it be that Jesus speaks about a 'generation' of the earth?
