The last among the ancestors of Jesus are his father and mother: Joseph, the husband of Mary. The holy family.

It will turn out that Joseph was great in dreaming. He could hear the voice of God in his dreams. And he was faithful to that voice.
Joseph is presented by Matthew as the central figure around the the birth of Jesus. It was Joseph who welcomed the redeemer in Mary. It was Joseph who protected Jesus and Mary. He choose something greater than his own life.

Prayer

God, please grant me a spirit like Joseph. A spirit that can discern your voice.
