The Father's Formless Presence 5 May 2026

Gen 1:2 Now the earth was a formless void,
there was darkness over the deep,
with a divine wind sweeping over the waters.

My Observations

I read. There are not that many words. Some impressions and thoughts are:
1. The just created earth was not yet finished. It had no final shape and there was nothing. But ...
2. There was a 'deep', covered by darkness. What could be a 'deep'?
3. It appears to me that the 'deep' was filled with water.
4. And miraculously we find a trace of God: 'a divine wind'. Typically considered as the spirit of God. Better known as the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Jesus, come Holy Spirit, please explore my deep and my darkness. Come with your fresh wind.
