1Timothy 1:3-4. Correction 15 May 2025

1Ti 1:3 When I was setting out for Macedonia
I urged you to stay on in Ephesus
to instruct certain people
not to spread wrong teaching
4 or to give attention to myths and unending genealogies;
these things only foster doubts
instead of furthering God's plan
which is founded on faith.

Instruct

Instruct some people not to spread wrong teaching. That is a good example where people are corrected. In my opinion that is one of the themes in the letters to Timothy.

Wrong Focus

It may happen that I give a lot of focus to irrelevant issues. It can happen to most of us. Having a strong focus to only one single item usually indicates an unbalance or an immaturity.
Are normal life has a variety of problems. It is however true that I can only work on one small thing at a time.

Prayer

Jesus, I ask for balance in life and for having focus on the things coming from the Holy Spirit.
