1Ti 1:1 Paul, apostle of Christ Jesus
appointed by the command of God our Savior
and of Christ Jesus our hope, 2 to Timothy, true child of mine in the faith.
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father
and from Christ Jesus our Lord.

Appointed By A Command

God our savior and Christ Jesus gave a command. Is Christ Jesus not the Savior? Two persons are mentioned as giver of the command. It is quite and honor to be appointed by the most high God.

Apostle's Child

Timothy appeared to be of a faith inherited from Saint Paul.
Saint Paul could send "Grace, mercy and peace" from God the Father and from Jesus Christ. Or could he just wish Timothy to receive God's grave, mercy and peace? What is the difference? Perhaps Saint Paul received it first from God and could hand it over.

For ease of writing I withhold myself in the upcoming writing from addressing Paul and Timothy as 'Saint.' They are of course.

Jesus, guide me in ministering what you have entrusted to me.
