1 Corinthians 10:1-5 The Exodus Run 13 May 2024

1Co 10:1 I want you to be quite certain, brothers,
that our ancestors all had the cloud over them
and all passed through the sea.
2 In the cloud and in the sea they were all baptized into Moses;
3 all ate the same spiritual food
4 and all drank the same spiritual drink,
since they drank from the spiritual rock which followed them,
and that rock was Christ.
5 In spite of this,
God was not pleased with most of them,
and their corpses were scattered over the desert.

The Journey to a promised country counts. Saint Paul explains how Jesus was present with the Exodus of the Jews. And sadly most did not reach the promised land.

To Reach Promised Land

To reach a far goal, you need to be willing to travel through the desert. And with that journey, we can use a friend, Jesus the Rock.

Prayer

Jesus, grant me the strength to pass through the deserts in my life.
