1 Corinthians 10:8-10 The Destroyer 15 May 2024

1Co 10:8 Nor, again,
are we to fall into sexual immorality; some of them did this,
and twenty-three thousand met their downfall in one day.
9 And we are not to put the Lord to the test;
some of them put him to the test,
and they were killed by snakes.
10 Never complain; some of them complained,
and they were killed by the Destroyer.

It is about the time of the Jews in the desert after the Exodus. During the time of Moses, some serious sins were punished in drastic ways.

Snakes & Destroyer

Venomous snakes were God's response to complaints. The destroyer acted when God's holiness was abused - after God had given the commandments. How would God deal with the sins of our present world? I would guess with war and famine (climate change).

Jesus, please limit the punishment on your world.
