Matthew 13:44. Treasure 19 May 2023

Mat 13:44 The kingdom of Heaven
is like treasure hidden in a field which someone has found;
he hides it again,
goes off in his joy,
sells everything he owns
and buys the field.

Of course, this parable is not about deceiving owners of fields.
The treasure I desire is hidden. It is not easy or cheap to acquire that treasure. Perhaps todays world separates me from the treasure. My earthly belongings hinder the acquisition of the treasure. When others, especially the Devil, would hear of my plans, they may want to change my mind.
Jesus says that the kingdom of Heaven is near.

Prayer

Jesus, teach me on the cost of becoming part of the kingdom of heaven.
