Matthew 13:52. From Scribe to Disciple 22 May 2023

Mat 13:52 And he said to them,
'Well then,
every scribe who becomes a disciple of the kingdom of Heaven
is like a householder
who brings out from his storeroom new things as well as old.'

Someone who studies the scriptures can become a disciple of the kingdom of Heaven. Nicely, Jesus values both old knowledge and new knowledge. He connects his way to the old testament.

Jesus, make me a disciple of the kingdom of Heaven.
