Matthew 13:34-35. Hidden. 16 May 2023

Mat 13:34 In all this Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables;
indeed, he would never speak to them except in parables.
35 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet:
I will speak to you in parables,
unfold what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.

Why should Jesus speak to the crowds in parables? About things 'hidden since foundation of the world'. I know this: the disciples could not grasp why Jesus should die; how would the crowd be able to understand a new covenant? Revelation comes just little by little.

Prayer

Jesus, prepare me little by little for what is going to come.
