Any change in human life calls forth resistance. This I know: Jesus called his disciples personally. They were given very little time for their resistance. They had to make their decision almost immediately. I assume that they acted under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. They had a strong inner conviction. Of course they could resist. And some did.

Dealing with Resistance

Dealing with resistance is important. And in doing so, it speeds up the decision making tremendously.
There are few options allowing for a good progress. The number one rule is: do it as fast as possible. Second: come with reasons that speak about issues with positive value of character.
Fear and negative reasons are hard or impossible to beat.

Prayer

Jesus, teach me to resist the Devil.
