Reflection on My Neighborhood Needs. 9 May 2022

The neighborhood of the community is the battlefield where a community can make a difference. Nearby, the community can show who they are. They can practice the love for the lost in the world. This is the place where the Christian Community has its best opportunity to evangelize, to make the good news known.
Actually, the community needs a neighborhood. Of course neighbors can be found everywhere and especially nearby.

The Heart

Talking is easy. Doing is harder. Caring takes sacrifices. It may even take suffering. Frequently, care can only be given as an addition to the normal duties of life. And a community has already many internal duties. Not many like to work sacrificially unpaid extra hours.

Therefore, the Christian Community needs the Heart of Christ, willing to take some suffering.

That could be the place where joy will be born.
