Divide and Conquer

This is an old adagio of generals and kings. When you spread people among strangers, they will be disoriented and not effective. It will break the power of groups of people.

Scattered Gold

If you scatter gold over a larger area, then it will be even hard to recognize the gold. When it is collected and purified to a bigger quantity it will shine and radiate. It gains meaning and purpose.

Christians

I am like a small peace of gold-dust. Alone I will not be noticed. Once purified and melted together with more gold-dust, I will become part of beautiful piece of gold that can reflect God's light to the world.
