1 Corinthians 3:18-20 Learn to be a Fool. 22 Mar 2024
1Co 3:18 There is no room for self-delusion.
Any one of you who thinks he is wise by worldly standards
must learn to be a fool in order to be really wise.
19 For the wisdom of the world is folly to God.
As scripture says:
He traps the crafty in the snare of their own cunning
20 and again:
The Lord knows the plans of the wise
and how insipid they are.

Those scriptures speak about self-delusion.
Insipid Plans
I lacked wisdom about the meaning of 'insipid'. It means something like, 'little or no taste.'
My own thoughts have little worth. I need to learn to do what is foolish to this world. First love God and my neighbor.
Prayer
Jesus, teach me humility and discernment. I still fall back frequently to my own wisdom.
