1 Corinthians 2:6-7 Mysterious Wisdom. 11 Mar 2024

1Co 2:6 But still,
to those who have reached maturity,
we do talk of a wisdom,
not, it is true, a philosophy of this age
or of the rulers of this age,
who will not last long now.
7 It is of the mysterious wisdom of God that we talk,
the wisdom that was hidden,
which God predestined to be
for our glory before the ages began.

Hearing the word mystery in a religious context, makes me suspicious. Here the 'mystery' speaks about something that was hidden in the past.

A Wisdom for You and Me

Now there is a mysterious wisdom of God. And it is for our glory, whatever that may be. You need to have reached some maturity.

Prayer

Jesus, please prepare me for the Father's wisdom for me.
