1Co 1:17 After all, Christ sent me not to baptize,
but to preach the gospel;
and not by means of wisdom of language,
wise words which would make the cross of Christ pointless.

Saint Paul Knows his task. Preaching and not baptizing. It is very helpful to know things I am not supposed to do under normal circumstances.

The Cross and not Wisdom

Wisdom of language makes the Cross of Christ pointless. The Cross of Christ is a grace and a gift. Many words do not help to understand this.
