1 Corinthians 2:1-2 Him Crucified. 9 Mar 2024
1Co 2:1 Now when I came to you, brothers,
I did not come with any brilliance of oratory
or wise argument to announce to you the mystery of God.
2 I was resolved
that the only knowledge I would have
while I was with you
was knowledge of Jesus,
and of him as the crucified Christ.

I would agree with Saint Paul, that beauty of language is nothing compared to the truth of a Crucified Christ. The same applies to human wisdom.
The wisdom of the Devil
Unfortunately there is as well a wisdom neither human nor delivered by God. It is a wisdom coming from the Devil. It is very easy for the Devil to present himself as an angel of light. I know a few simple ways to protect ourselves against this:
1) Hiding us in a Crucified Christ. Discerning how God will proceed.
2) Not speaking about revelations unless it is 100% clear that the message serves the church and God's purposes.
3) Living in humility. Rejecting useless beauty or knowledge that hinders me in doing the will of the Father.
Prayer
Jesus, teach me sober judgment of my spoken and even prayed words. Do they really serve God's will and plan for the here and now.
