1Co 4:7 Who made you so important?
What have you got that was not given to you?
And if it was given to you,
why are you boasting as though it were your own?
8 You already have everything -- you are rich already --
you have come into your kingdom, without any help from us!
Well, I wish you were kings and we could be kings with you!

Life is a gift. Everything God has entrusted to me is a gift. I am supposed to be a loving steward. Everything should bring glory to God.

My Kingdom

It is clear that we are not kings. For Christ is our king.
Saint Paul addresses a problem I observe in Catholic Parishes. Some people have been given some authority. Next they act as if they are a king. This shies away others. It may shy away the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Jesus, make me aware where I abuse power or what has been given to me.
