1Co 4:9 For it seems to me
that God has put us apostles on show right at the end,
like men condemned to death:
we have been exhibited as a spectacle to the whole universe,
both angelic and human.
10 Here we are,
fools for Christ's sake,
while you are the clever ones in Christ;
we are weak, while you are strong;
you are honoured, while we are disgraced.

When I am entrusted a major gift, that gift will be a burden to me as well. The gift may be intended to display some of the kingdom of God. And the kingdom of God meets resistance. I may be under attack of Satan.

Apostles' Hardships

Saint Paul chooses a place of humility. Not a place of honor.
Does it work? Yes, because Satan has one thing less to attack.

Prayer

Jesus, I ask for the grace to know the gifts you have entrusted to me.
