Matthew 10:26-31. Fear And Worth 26 Mar 2023

Mat 10:26 So do not be afraid of them.
Everything now covered up will be uncovered,
and everything now hidden will be made clear.
27 What I say to you in the dark, tell in the daylight;
what you hear in whispers, proclaim from the housetops.
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body
but cannot kill the soul;
fear him rather who can destroy both body and soul in hell.
29 Can you not buy two sparrows for a penny?
And yet not one falls to the ground without your Father knowing.
30 Why, every hair on your head has been counted.
31 So there is no need to be afraid;
you are worth more than many sparrows.

When I fear, I will not feel worthy. Because I have a Father who values me more than sparrows ... I should not be afraid.

It is easily said. What would I be afraid for? Being honest, I fear most the rulers in the church. Would the church rulers raise up church members in fear of being not good enough?

Prayer

Jesus, redeem me from unproductive fears.

Self Evaluation

Blaming others does not help. When I am ineffective and afraid to employ my talents, first of all I hurt myself.
