Matthew 10:1-4. Powers and Names 16 Mar 2023

Mat 10:1 He summoned his twelve disciples
and gave them authority over unclean spirits
with power to drive them out
and to cure all kinds of disease
and all kinds of illness.
2 These are the names of the twelve apostles:
first, Simon who is known as Peter, and his brother Andrew;
James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector;
James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who was also his betrayer.

Here we find a presentation of Jesus' staff on earth. Nowadays most of them have become famous names. They were talented young people, trained by a master. And the master entrusted power to them.
Those leaders in training were not perfect. But only one of them failed complete in his earthly mission.

Prayer

Jesus, we pray for new workers, who are willing to follow Jesus before being perfect.
