I.M. Upset 29 Mar 2022

Saying that I am set-up when feeling upset, is blaming others. My emotions are caused by my thinking. My thoughts are not always helpful.


What was actually the upsetting event? Perhaps not even the actual problem. Perhaps I felt threatened and spoke an unfriendly word. Or I felt guilty, intimidated or afraid that I would be blamed or punished. You see from those examples, that perhaps it is not even the accident I caused or the mistake I made what did upset me, but some annoying thoughts. Once the emotions take over, it is hard to stay calm.


Holy Spirit, renew my thinking. Teach me to know what good things my emotions tell about myself. I know, finally the truth will reduce my feelings of being upset.
