1 Cor 9:24-25 (ESV)

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize?
So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things.
They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

My day

After work Millet and I were honored with two visitors. I thank God for both of them.
Our first guest shared her desire to build community. Please pray for a special blessing for her.
Our second guest invited us for a dinner. We had a lovely time together. Please pray for our friend H.

Short story

Our friend H. shared a short testimony:
Once I prayed to God to grant me a certain favor.
However ... God did not grant my request as I asked for it.
God gave a different gift than I expected.
Later I became to realize that actually
I should have prayed for what God did give.
