The lent season of a catholic has three important themes: prayer, fasting and alms-giving. Those activities can help us to come closer to God.

The thorns of the cactus symbolize the hardship.

Approaching God.

He is the always present. That should make it easy to meet Him.

I am wondering, what kind of prayer, fasting and alms-giving is effective? Perhaps all we can do, is offering all those things with joy to God.

My prayer is that God opens my heart for joyful prayer, joyful fasting and joyful alms-giving.
