Making things with our hands

In the past centuries, most people lived from working with their hands. Lots of men learned a profession as carpenter, farmer, hunter. They learned to use tools in skillful ways. Also in art, usually persons learned to use their hands to model their object. It also required skill.

Getting some work done with our hands gives a lot of satisfaction. In Genesis 2 it says that God shaped man, planted a garden and fashioned all the wild animals. As if God created with his hands.

Thus when we work with our hands, we imitate God.
Nowadays things are created with the help of computers.
Fortunately or unfortunately we still need to type with our fingers!

I am very sure that God still loves the work of our hands.
