Songs to Invite Spirit

Most songs about the Holy Spirit pray: Come Holy Spirit. As I stated before the Holy Spirit has been promised. He is there for those who have repented from their sins and have been baptized.

Rev 22:17 invites the other way.

The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come!' Let everyone who listens answer, 'Come!' Then let all who are thirsty come: all who want it may have the water of life, and have it free.

The Holy Spirit invites me instead of me inviting Him. I need to respond, not He.

Time for new songs

The songs express our painful distance from the Holy Spirit. In my opinion we need to accept the Holy Spirit in more mature ways. I believe that requires trust and obedience (Acts 5:32). I also believe that we need new songs that express that the Holy Spirit lives and works in us.
