1Co 13:2 And though I have the power of prophecy,
to penetrate all mysteries and knowledge,
and though I have all the faith necessary to move mountains
-- if I am without love, I am nothing.

Power Of Prophecy

Prophecy has a power. It can penetrate mysteries. In some cases it has exposed lies and deceit. We live in a world where leaders are frequently unwilling to deal with failures.
We need prophets to expose behavior that abuses people or a community. Unfortunately, abusive people struggle with responding in loving and honest ways to correction. Manipulative behavior and refusing people to use their God-given talents is abusive. Acting in fear is usually abusive, for it refuses justice.

Prayer

Jesus, open our hearts and minds for loving correction.
