Matthew 16:13-15. Who am I? 24 Jun 2023
Mat 16:13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi
he put this question to his disciples,
'Who do people say the Son of man is?'
14 And they said,
'Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah,
and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.'
15 'But you,' he said, 'who do you say I am?'

The Pharisees and Sadducees had asked for a sign form heaven. Jesus asks the disciples, what others said about him, the Son of Man. There are various answers, actually most quite amazing: resurrected prophets.
I am asking as well, 'Who am I?' and 'What am I called to do?' Now I am not a miracle worker. The answers I get sound like, 'You are not supposed to do anything.' Actually it hurts me. It sounds like, 'You are useless and incapable.'
Jesus, who are you saying that I am?
