Matthew 16:5-7. Falling Short 22 Jun 2023

Mat 16:5 The disciples,
having crossed to the other side,
had forgotten to take any food.
6 Jesus said to them,
'Keep your eyes open,
and be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.'
7 And they said among themselves,
'It is because we have not brought any bread.'

It is an interesting conversation. The disciples had forgotten to bring food. They also had failed to buy bread for a multitude. Now, when Jesus uses a word related to bread, they did not listen well and jumped into an absurd conclusion.

Prayer

Jesus, help me to smile about my frequent faulty conclusions.
