Inheritance, Inheritance

Good things start somewhere. We inherit from others.

Fanning The Flame

Starting a fire is a great example of starting to use a gift of the Holy Spirit. I can learn a lot from the analogy:
1. A gift needs a preparation, a set up. Perhaps a prayer or prophesy. I know what to anticipate.
2. Then a match is needed to ignite: e.g. the laying on of hands.
3. I need to fan, to encourage. Sometime the fire dies starves out during the process. Then I light again and fan it again. I may have to improve the set-up.

Prayer

Jesus, thank you for the beautiful analogy of fanning the flame.
