Mat 18:16 If he does not listen,
take one or two others along with you:
whatever the misdemeanor,
the evidence of two or three witnesses is required to sustain the charge.

When I talk directly and privately to a person, there is some freedom. I may be unsure in some point. When I decide to confront a person together with one or two others, then things are different. What I bring then on the agenda, needs to be proven by two or even three witnesses. And once again, we talk on issues which separate the person from Christ, thus being sins.
