Dutch people really like summer. Personally my favorite season is spring. That is because of the abundant new life we experience in 'Holland'.
We hope for summer and we are regularly disappointed in our hopes.
We hope for a good harvest. It not always happens.
We have worked hard and not always seen the results we expected.
Summer is holiday time. We enjoy the sunny days of summer. They are full of brightness. We may enjoy a Belgian beer on a terrace.
Summer gives us a lazy relaxed feeling. The work is done. The harvest is in.
It is time for my siesta.
