Zechariah. Patrol. Zec 1:10-11. 4 January 2025

Zec 1:10 The man standing among the myrtles then replied,
"Those are they whom Yahweh has sent to patrol the world."
11 They reported to the angel of Yahweh
as he stood among the myrtles,
"We have been patrolling the world,
and indeed the whole world is still and at peace."

Angels

The angel who was talking to Zechariah ... spoke in or about the vision. And then another character begins to explain. The communication goes over various layers:
The patrolling horse riders, the rider on the red horse, the angel, Zechariah, me, you. All in service of Yahweh, I hope.

'The whole world is at still at peace.' I seems like Christmas eve. Do we really live in a world with peace? Perhaps God likes to shake our 'peace' a little.

Prayer

Jesus, guide me in observing false peace (confidence) with many in this world. I ask for light on my and our ignorance.
