Zechariah. High Priest Cleansed. 3:3-5. 18 January 2025

Zec 3:3 Now Joshua was dressed in dirty clothes as he stood before the angel.
4 The latter then spoke as follows to those who were standing before him,
'Take off his dirty clothes and dress him in splendid robes
5 and put a clean turban on his head.'
So they put a clean turban on his head and dressed him in clean clothes,
while the angel of Yahweh stood by and said,
'You see, I have taken your guilt away.'

An Angel Cleanses

Isn't that amazing that an angel cleanses a high priest? The high priest should represent the people before God. When he is cleansed he can intercede for his people.

Jesus, thank you for being my high priest.
