Mat 6:9 So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.

Like this could mean that Jesus sets out a pattern. A great example. Interestingly we often pray it literally. Perhaps ending up a way like babbling the 'our Father'.
I know, by times we really benefit from simple prayers.

A Father in Heaven

We talk to a holy god who resides in heaven. I should keep his Name holy. That reminds me again to the word 'babbling.' It is not a small thing to keep the name of God holy. I need to reflect whether I am really doig so.
The Father's Kingdom will come. That is an act of faith. God's will be done. So often I am doing just my own will. I am however interested in His will. And a disciple of Jesus is willing to make serious efforts for it.
Finally, with all those big issues, I need to believe that God's will is done in heaven. I know this: Jesus, the image of the Father, is humble and full of love.

Prayer

Jesus, the prayer you teach us is awesome. Tell me more.
