Matthew 5:44-45. Sun and Rain for All. 16 Jan 2023

Mat 5:44 But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you; 45 so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike.

It is almost a 'program':
1) Love your enemies
2) Pray for those who persecute you
3) So that YOU (me and my enemy) may be children of our heavenly Father.

God likes to bestow goodness on all.

Prayer

Jesus, teach me how to pray for those who persecute me.

Self Evaluation

It is easier to ignore my enemies. The problem is that the enemies will remain enemies forever.
